Newly released footage captures a shocking incident that unfolded over two years ago, revealing a jilted wife’s actions in Queensland, Australia. The CCTV video, recently obtained by 9 News, showcases the intense scene where Christie-Lee Kennedy, driving a white BMW SUV, strikes her husband David Larkin, and his mistress Zowie Noring. Kennedy then exits her vehicle and proceeds to physically assault Noring.
Although the public has just gained access to this footage, it served as evidence during a highly publicized court case that captivated Australia for months. The video depicts Larkin and Noring embracing on a serene street in March 2021 moments before the arrival of the white SUV.
According to court proceedings, Kennedy used a Find My Phone app to track down her unfaithful spouse before the incident, believing he was picking up their children from daycare. However, during the trial, Kennedy maintained that she never intended to strike the victims with her car, claiming that she had applied the brakes too late.
In a recent verdict, the jury accepted Kennedy’s explanation, finding her not guilty on two counts of “malicious acts with intent to disable.” However, in the video, Kennedy can be seen exiting her vehicle after the collision and launching an attack on Noring, pulling her hair and striking her head.
A resident of the street where the incident occurred, known as “Scummy,” recounted hearing the collision from inside his home. He promptly contacted emergency services and witnessed Kennedy leaving the scene, while Noring limped to her car and drove away. Kennedy later returned to the site and remained with her husband until the arrival of emergency services.
In April, Judge Paul Smith handed down a sentence to Kennedy, suspending a nine-month jail term for two offenses: dangerous operation of a vehicle and a common assault charge. Consequently, she will not serve any prison time. Judge Smith acknowledged Kennedy’s shock upon witnessing the incident, despite her suspicions leading up to it.
Recognizing Kennedy as an excellent employee and a devoted mother, the judge expressed regret over her offense but concluded that it was out of character, making a recurrence unlikely. As part of her sentence, Kennedy was ordered to pay AU$ 5,000 to each victim within two weeks. Failure to comply may result in a one-month jail term. Additionally, her driving privileges were suspended for nine months. It is worth noting that David Larkin and Zowie Noring have continued their relationship and are now officially a couple.
