Woman lures man to Homestead bedroom in robbery, but he fights back

A shocking incident unfolded in Homestead when a 25-year-old woman, Halli Conley, lured a man to a house, and upon his arrival, he was met with an unexpected and dangerous situation. According to the police, two men, identified as Isaia Perez, 36, and Rafael Ciprian, 35, were waiting inside the bedroom, intending to rob him.

As per the arrest report, luck seemed to favor the victim, potentially saving his life and providing him with an opportunity to fight back. Isaia Perez appeared in Miami-Dade bond court on Thursday in connection with the incident.

According to the Homestead police report, the incident occurred on the previous Friday when Conley invited the victim to the residence located in the 600 block of Northwest Ninth Court. The man arrived at around 9:30 p.m. and upon entering the bedroom, he noticed Perez sitting on a chair. Conley then briefly left the room and returned with Rafael Ciprian.

Police stated that Ciprian brandished a firearm, pointed it at the victim, and issued a threat, saying, “I’m going to kill you,” while demanding his belongings. Succumbing to the pressure, the victim handed over $400 and his Android phone to Ciprian.

In a shocking turn of events, Ciprian, who already had a criminal record, aimed the gun at the victim and pulled the trigger. Fortunately, the gun malfunctioned, providing the victim with an opportunity to retrieve his own weapon. According to the report, as Perez approached the man in an aggressive manner, the victim shot Perez in the arm in self-defense.

A chaotic altercation then ensued, with Ciprian assaulting the victim by striking him with the pistol, while Perez and Conley joined in by physically attacking him. The report states that in the midst of the struggle, the victim managed to shoot Ciprian in the foot and pleaded with him to let him go.

Ciprian chillingly responded with, “You’re going to die,” as per the police report. Conley then proceeded to stab the victim with an unidentified object. In a desperate bid for survival, the victim fought back and eventually managed to escape.

All three individuals, who reside in southwest Miami-Dade, now face multiple charges, including armed robbery, attempted murder, and false imprisonment. They are currently held in the Miami-Dade corrections system without bond, according to jail records.
