Guilty! Wisconsin Woman Convicted of Decapitating Lover, Cutting Off His Penis During Drug-Fueled Se*x Rampage

In 2022, a woman from Wisconsin was convicted of the murder and dismemberment of her lover, reportedly carried out during a meth-induced rampage. The verdict was reached swiftly by jurors, taking only 30 minutes to find 25-year-old Taylor Schabusiness guilty of multiple charges, including first-degree intentional homicide, mutilating a corpse, and third-degree se*xual assault.

As per Front Page Detectives, Schabusiness admitted to being under the influence of drugs when she strangled Shad Thyrion with a metal chain during a se*xual encounter in the basement of his family’s residence in Brown County. She was accused of concealing the mutilated body parts throughout the house and in a car.

Despite having a bipolar diagnosis and using drugs to treat the condition, Judge Thomas Walsh ruled that the defendant was still responsible for Thyrion’s murder, according to WBAY.

The horrifying discovery took place on February 23, 2022, when police responded to the scene and found Thyrion’s severed head and penis in a bucket. Trial testimony revealed that Thyrion’s mother initially thought her son’s head was a prop, not realizing the gruesome truth, as reported by WBAY.

During the trial, jurors were shown autopsy images of Thyrion’s decapitated head, and Dr. Vincent Tranchida, a medical examiner, testified that dismembering the body would have taken Schabusiness several hours.

Prior to the trial, Schabusiness was deemed mentally fit to stand trial after a previous attorney withdrew when she attacked him during a court hearing in February, according to RadarOnline. Throughout the trial, Schabusiness chose not to testify and reserved her right to remain silent.

Since Schabusiness pleaded not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect, the jury now faces the task of determining whether she suffered from a mental illness that impaired her ability to comprehend the gravity of the crimes she committed, as reported by WLUK.
