A 44-year-old woman, Sandra Jimenez, was arrested in Miami for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend in the eye with what police described as a “rabies needle.” The incident occurred at their shared home on Saturday night.
According to an arrest report, Jimenez jumped on top of her boyfriend during an ongoing argument about him looking at other women. Using a needle intended for their dogs, referred to as a “rabies needle” in the report, she stabbed him in the right eyelid.
The boyfriend, lying on the couch at the time of the alleged attack, contacted the police after Jimenez fled the scene. He was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital for treatment, told HuffPost.
Police later found Jimenez sleeping in her car outside her residence. She was arrested, charged with a domestic violence felony for aggravated battery, and taken into custody.
Jimenez appeared in court on Monday, where her bond was set at $7,500. The judge ordered her to house arrest and mandated that she stay away from her boyfriend. A probable cause for the attack was found during the hearing. Information about her attorney was not immediately available.
