The wife told her husband to sleep on the couch after the fight, ‘realized he’s dead when she returned next morning’!

Ashley, a mother of three, learned the hard way that going to bed angry could have disastrous consequences. In an interview, she recounted forcing her husband, Mikey, to sleep on the couch after a particularly exhausting day at work, only to wake up to find him dead the next morning. Now, Ashley has an important message for all couples out there.

Mikey worked as a carpet cleaner, putting in long hours of work, sometimes up to 16-hour shifts, seven days a week. Ashley was unhappy about his long hours and the toll it took on him but understood that the family needed the money. However, one evening, Mikey’s exhaustion became too much for Ashley, and she made him sleep on the couch, according to the Independent.

The next morning, Ashley found Mikey in exactly the same position as the night before, cold and gray-faced. In a panic, she screamed for help, feeling guilty for the last words she said to him out of anger. After Mikey’s death, Ashley discovered that he had been saving up for a trip to celebrate their wedding anniversary, which made his death all the more heartbreaking.

Mikey’s death has given Ashley a new perspective on life, and she now wants to spend as much time as she can with her family. Although the autopsy showed that Mikey died in his sleep, the exact cause is unknown, though Ashley believes his past injury from weightlifting may have contributed.

During Mikey’s funeral, Ashley shared an important message: “Go kiss your loved ones and tell them you care. Let them know you love them, as they may not always be there.”
