These sources discredit Trump’s assertion that he made the decision to remove them, highlighting that it was actually Jared and Ivanka’s choice to disassociate themselves from him.
The recent disclosure regarding Trump’s desire to remove his daughter and son-in-law from the White House does not come as a complete surprise. Reports from 2018 indicated that he had approached then-Chief of Staff John Kelly for assistance in pushing Jared and Ivanka out.
