Tragic New Year’s Day Shooting Claims Life of 24-Year-Old Andrei Gianan in Manhattan Beach Family Seeks Justice

In the early hours of New Year’s Day, 24-year-old Andrei “Nico” Gianan was tragically shot in the head on the 1400 block of 11th Street in Manhattan Beach. Gianna, who had left work in San Pedro before the incident, became the victim of what his family describes as a “senseless act of violence.” The family is grappling with the profound pain caused by this tragedy, emphasizing that Gianan was at the wrong place at the wrong time.

According to reports from Fox 11 and Manhattan Beach News, the Manhattan Beach Police Department is actively seeking suspects in connection with the shooting. Contrary to initial speculation, law enforcement does not believe this was a random attack. The family is now pleading for answers and justice in the case.

Gianan’s family shared an update, revealing that he was an organ donor, and his heart, lungs, liver, kidneys, and pancreas will be donated. The family expressed hope that Nico’s legacy will live on through the lives he will save.

Describing Gianan as someone with an infectious smile, a goofy personality, and a big heart, the family fondly remembered him in a GoFundMe campaign. The page, which aims to raise $20,000 to cover funeral costs and related expenses, has garnered nearly $19,000 in support from the community.

Two of Gianan’s siblings, Karl and Nina, are determined to seek justice for their brother, vowing not to rest until they find answers. The family painted a picture of Gianan as a person who selflessly prioritized others, possessed an easygoing personality that endeared him to everyone, and had a knack for bringing joy to any room.

The investigation is now in the hands of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, and they are urging anyone with information to contact the Homicide Bureau at 323-890-5500.
