Teen Joyfully Pose With Boyfriend Three Months After Dumping Their Newborn Baby To Die In Hospital Trash Can

In their prom photos, Alexee Trevizo and her boyfriend appear joyful and full of excitement, their arms intertwined and a hand lovingly placed over Alexee’s belly. Little did the photographer and their peers know that behind this facade of happiness, a haunting secret was concealed.

Just twelve weeks earlier, in the solitude of a hospital restroom, Alexee gave birth to a baby boy in secret, ultimately abandoning his fragile body in a trash can, wrapped in layers of plastic bags.

Heartbreakingly, the infant had already passed away by the time hospital staff discovered him, the tragic bag still covering his delicate face. Despite her youthful appearance as a cheerleader, Alexee claimed to have been unaware of her pregnancy. While the police conducted their investigation, she was allowed to leave the hospital and return home.

At the end of April, which would have marked her son’s three-month milestone, Alexee put on a mini-dress and sneakers, ready to dance the night away with her boyfriend of nearly three years, Devyn Fierro.

With carefree spirits, the couple walked the red carpet specially laid out by Artesia High School to honor their graduating seniors. Unbeknownst to local photographer Melody Smith, who captured their moment on camera, the truth behind Alexee and Devyn’s undisclosed secret remained hidden. Devyn had previously been interviewed at the hospital, adding to the intrigue surrounding their situation.

“At the time, I had no idea about [the baby], but when I looked back on the photos, I remembered her because I thought it was unusual that she wore such a short dress,” shares Smith, who grew up in Artesia and attended the same high school. “They were excited to be at prom. It was a big smile. You would never have known.”

During the event, both Alexee and Devyn maintained a relatively private demeanor, much like any other young couple in attendance, according to Smith’s observations.

“It wasn’t until afterward, when there was some backlash about her being allowed to attend, that I realized what had happened,” adds Melody, referring to the alleged murder of the baby.

Today, the once joyful reality of the 19-year-old has turned into a far cry from that jubilant spring evening in April. Alexee now awaits her impending court date, burdened by charges including murder and tampering with evidence, which has led to restrictions on her freedom.

Although she was granted permission to return to school to complete her graduation requirements, she chose not to attend the ceremony with her peers, as she had already been arrested and processed at the local jail.

The upcoming trial will focus on determining Alexee’s intent or involvement in the baby’s death, as well as establishing whether the baby was stillborn. In her initial interactions with the police, she maintained that the baby was already deceased when he unexpectedly “fell out” from her.

According to reports, the events unfolded on January 27 when Alexee accompanied her mother, Rosa Rodriguez, to the hospital due to complaints of back pain. At around 2 a.m., Alexee hurried down the hospital hallway, clutching her lower abdomen, as captured by the hospital’s surveillance cameras.
