Ashley Bell, the 14-year-old student from Stone Mountain attending Parkview High School, who was reported missing on May 24, has been located safely and reunited with her family, as confirmed by the Gwinnett Police Department.

After receiving relevant information, detectives were able to track down Bell and apprehend 41-year-old Russell Cheeves at a residence on Sanders Drive in Morrow. Cheeves has been charged with enticing a child for indecent purposes and interference with custody.

Acting on the lead detective’s belief that Ashley might be at the mentioned address, officers from the Lake City Police Department and the City of Morrow Police Department visited the home, resulting in the successful discovery of Ashley, told FOX 5.

Following her rescue, Ashley was returned to the care of her parents. She was last seen on May 24 at around 10:32 a.m. in the parking lot of Parkview High School, heading towards the student parking area after completing an exam. Her cell phone was turned off a few hours later, and she had no online activity on social media.

The Gwinnett County School Police reported the case to the Gwinnett Police Department, which urged anyone with information to contact GCPD detectives at 770-513-5300.
