Samantha Ramsdell, a Connecticut woman who holds the Guinness World Record for having the world’s largest mouth, is making a substantial amount of money despite facing criticism on social media.
Ramsdell’s mouth stretches to an impressive 2.56 inches (6.52 cm), and she earns over $13,500 per TikTok post, showcasing her unique feature. However, she faces constant trolling, with people calling her “ugly” and “disgusting.”
Ramsdell, 33, told The Mirror stated that the name-calling began when she was a young student and that it can still be difficult to ignore. Despite the negative comments, Ramsdell has found a way to embrace her uniqueness and use it to her advantage.
She began posting videos on TikTok in 2020, and her popularity skyrocketed. She now has 3.6 million followers on the platform, where she proudly declares, “No it’s not a filter…it’s just my face.”
Her videos, which feature her putting an entire apple in her mouth, for example, have led to a career in comedy. She now tours the country with her live show and encourages others to embrace their differences. Ramsdell believes that our differences should be celebrated and feels amazing to be recognized for her unique features.
