In a disturbing incident involving a love triangle, a Miami police officer and a pregnant woman were arrested for allegedly assaulting their boyfriend. The altercation erupted when the women discovered that the man had been unfaithful to both of them.
On May 26, Miami-Dade Police Officer Anna Elicia Perez, 34, and Mila Zuloaga, 35, were taken into custody and booked into jail. The off-duty officer and the pregnant woman stand accused of physically attacking a Florida man due to his alleged infidelity.
According to reports, the incident took place around midnight at Miller’s Ale House in Palmetto Bay, Florida. The two women confronted the man, sparking a verbal dispute about his unfaithfulness, which quickly turned violent.
WTVJ reported that “both women hit the man in his face and upper body with their hands multiple times, leaving him with redness on his face and a bruised lower lip.”
Zuloaga was transported to the Miami-Dade Police Department’s Special Victims Bureau, while Perez was taken to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. Perez admitted to police that she had pushed and struck the victim several times. It remains unclear whether the women planned the confrontation or if it was an unplanned encounter.
Zuloaga, who is allegedly seven months pregnant with the man’s child and resides with him, and the victim reportedly maintain a romantic relationship alongside Perez.
Miami-Dade Police Director Alfredo Ramirez expressed his disappointment in the officer’s actions and emphasized the department’s commitment to upholding high standards of conduct. He stated, “Although this officer was off duty, her behavior was unacceptable and it goes against the core values of our department, according to CBS News.
We will work closely with the State Attorney’s Office and ensure a thorough and transparent investigation.” Perez has been placed on administrative leave with pay while the State Attorney’s Office investigates the incident.
