Nurses got fired immediately after a ‘stunning video showed what they did to a newborn’s face’!

As most parents are aware, nurses play a vital role in the daily care of newborns, providing feeding, changing, bathing, administering medications, monitoring vital signs such as temperature, breathing, and heart rate, and overseeing medical equipment.

However, regrettably, there are instances when some nurses deviate from their responsibilities. According to reports, a group of nurses has been fired after a video circulated online, showing them engaging in appalling behavior towards a hospitalized newborn, sparking outrage among the public.

The baby’s family discovered the distressing treatment their child had endured at the hands of these nurses upon viewing the video on social media. The video depicted a nurse repeatedly grabbing the baby by the neck and forehead, cruelly manipulating the child’s face, while the other nurses present laughed.

The three nurses, who were employed at a maternity ward, were swiftly identified and located. The Health Affairs authority conducted an investigation to determine the source of the video, leading to the identification of the nurses involved and the hospital where the incident occurred, according to spokesperson Abdulhadi.

The nurses were immediately suspended from their positions at the maternity hospital. Subsequently, their medical licenses were revoked, and they have been barred from practicing nursing in any other healthcare facility.

The father of the newborn, whose child had been receiving treatment for a urinary tract infection at the hospital for ten days, expressed his horror upon discovering the widely circulated video on social media platforms.

He has called for the nurses responsible, as well as those who shared the distressing video, to face appropriate punishment. Suggestions have been made to install CCTV cameras throughout the hospital to help prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
