A North Carolina man was found stabbed to death over the weekend and now police have arrested his ex-girlfriend in connection with his murder, according to authorities.
Around 3 a.m. on June 10, deputies responded to a report of a person stabbed in Red Springs, according to the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office.
Once at the scene, officers found 51-year-old Eddie Jones deceased. Authorities identified 35-year-old Santana Hunt as the primary suspect and she was taken into custody.
Hunt was charged with first-degree murder and booked into the Robeson County Detention Center, officials said. She is being held without bond.
A family member of the victim spoke with WNCN-TV and said Jones was Hunt’s ex-boyfriend and left behind 10 children.
Authorities said the investigation is ongoing and anyone with information regarding the case is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office.
