An influencer recently shared a harrowing experience after encountering complications while getting her lip fillers removed, leading to an allergic reaction.
Kristina Vishnivetskaya, known as Cartier Bugatti, sought to reduce the size of her lips but instead experienced swelling in her lips and cheeks, resembling a bee sting.
Reports suggest that Kristina had an allergic reaction to Longidaza, an immunomodulatory medication with anti-inflammatory properties, which resulted in her being rushed to the hospital by ambulance.
Kristina, a 23-year-old tattooed influencer from Samara, Russia, credited the quick response of medical professionals in preventing the development of Quincke’s edema, a potentially life-threatening condition characterized by deep-layer swelling that can obstruct breathing.
Sharing images of her alarmingly swollen lips on Instagram, where she has over 117,000 followers, Kristina highlighted the severity of her condition and expressed gratitude for the medical intervention that saved her, told The SUN.
Thankfully, Kristina is now out of danger, although she remained under observation in the hospital for several days. She has since been discharged and reunited with her husband and son.
Kristina had opted for the procedure due to the formation of lumps in her lips. However, she was unaware of her allergy to Longidaza at the time. It appears that the cosmetologist who performed the lip reduction procedure was not authorized to do so.
Reflecting on her traumatic experience, Kristina shared with her followers that had she known about the allergy, she would have chosen to live without undergoing any procedure.
