The desire for Michelle Obama to run for the presidency has been a longstanding sentiment among the public. However, recent reports suggest that there is a concerted effort taking place behind the scenes, with some individuals reportedly going as far as “begging” the author of “Becoming” to consider entering the 2024 Presidential race.
Insiders shared with RadarOnline that Michelle’s potential candidacy could potentially lead to a significant electoral victory. According to one insider, “If Michelle announced, the election would go immediately from a hotly contested footrace to a landslide.”
They also referenced a recent poll indicating that Michelle’s approval rating stands at 48 percent, surpassing that of current U.S. President Joe Biden, who garnered 36 percent approval.
While this is not the first time speculations have arisen about Michelle entering the Presidential race, the reported efforts to persuade her to do so appear to be more pronounced this time around.
However, the likelihood of Michelle actually entering the race remains relatively low, given her consistent response when questioned about it. She has repeatedly expressed her disinterest in pursuing the presidency. For instance, in a 2019 interview with The National, she emphatically stated, “There’s zero chance.
It’s just not for me.” Even in a November 2022 interview with the Independent, Michelle reaffirmed her stance, stating plainly, “No, I’m not” when asked about the possibility of running for President.
While the calls for Michelle Obama’s presidential candidacy persist, her clear and consistent refusal to consider the role suggests that her dedication to other avenues of impact remains unchanged.
