Authorities in Indiana have apprehended a man who is accused of engaging in se*xual acts with the family dog and subsequently threatening his mother’s life if she reported him.
According to officials, in March 2022, a woman from Elkhart discovered her 20-year-old son, Blake Reffett, engaged in the act of bestiality with their dog. The incident reportedly occurred while the dog was pinned on the couch, WSBT reported.
Upon being caught, Reffett allegedly resorted to violence by brandishing a hammer and making threats to kill his mother and burn her body if she decided to involve the police, authorities stated.
In June 2022, during the execution of a search warrant, law enforcement officers overheard Reffett discussing the possibility of hiring someone to harm his mother, according to The Elkhart Truth.
Further examination revealed blood and red marks on the dog, with a veterinarian later confirming that the animal had experienced trauma, as reported by The Elkhart Truth.
Last month, Reffett was taken into custody and now faces charges of bestiality and intimidation with a deadly weapon, according to authorities. His bail has been set at $50,000.
