Authorities have reported an alleged assault on an 81-year-old man in Ohio, with three members of a biker group suspected of being responsible for the incident.
On the evening of June 2, emergency services were notified about an elderly man discovered lying on the sidewalk in Portsmouth, as per the Scioto County Daily News. First responders arrived promptly and transported the injured victim, whose identity remains undisclosed, to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
The victim underwent surgeries to address his injuries, according to the police. An investigation revealed that three individuals associated with the Portsmouth Motorcycle Club were involved in the assault, stated the Daily News.
While the motive behind the attack remains unknown, authorities determined that the victim was targeted while leaving a local food establishment. Security footage captured the suspects approaching the victim and forcefully pushing him to the ground. Subsequently, they departed the scene, leaving the victim lying on the street.
The Scioto County Grand Jury has issued indictments for the three suspects: Justin White (37), Timothy Clifford (51), and Robert Lunsford (37). White and Clifford were arrested on June 28 and charged with felony obstruction of justice, as confirmed by officials. Lunsford, who is currently at large, faces charges of felonious assault, aggravated assault, and obstruction of justice, according to authorities.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about Lunsford’s whereabouts to contact the Portsmouth Police Department at 740-353-4101 or their local law enforcement agency.
