Brutal Justice: Guilty Teen Faces Sentence After Torturing Dad with Acid Over Missed Hair Appointment, Then Partying

A young woman from Michigan could potentially face a life sentence following her conviction for the fatal poisoning of her father with a dangerous chemical.

Megan Joyce Imirowicz, aged 19, was found guilty by a 12-member jury after her trial concluded on Thursday, as confirmed by the Oakland County Office of the Prosecuting Attorney. Imirowicz was convicted on charges of unlawful possession or use of harmful devices/irritants causing death and domestic violence.

The charges against Imirowicz stem from an incident in October 2021, during which she threw a deadly mixture of lye and water on her 64-year-old father, Konrad Imirowicz. This corrosive substance has the potential to cause severe chemical burns on human skin.

According to People magazine, Megan Joyce Imirowicz attacked her father after he informed her that he was too intoxicated to drive her to a hair care appointment before her 18th birthday celebration.

During the four-day trial, Konrad Imirowicz’s son, Austin, testified that on the same night of the chemical attack, the defendant attempted to gain access to her injured father’s bank account. The purpose was to use the funds for a birthday party with her friends at a hotel.

The victim survived for five months following the chemical attack but sadly succumbed to his injuries in March 2022, a few days after being taken off life support. In his testimony, Austin Imirowicz described his father’s double amputations as a result of the incident, , according to Fox News.

Oakland County Prosecutor Karen D. McDonald referred to the case as a “tragic instance” of family violence, stating, “The defendant acted out of anger and tragically ended up causing her father’s death.”

McDonald commended the prosecution team for their diligent efforts in securing justice for the victim. The sentencing for the teenager is scheduled for July 25, as reported by People magazine. It remains unclear whether the prosecutors will pursue a life sentence for the defendant.
