A wedding is a joyous occasion where two individuals come together to commit to each other and celebrate their shared dreams and aspirations. It represents months of planning, reflecting the couple’s unique identities, interests, and values.

However, not every wedding unfolds as hoped, and such was the unfortunate case for a Saudi couple. The groom, whose identity remains unknown, reportedly divorced his bride on their wedding night after catching his first glimpse of her face during a photo session.

Although the couple had agreed to marry without having met face to face, a common practice in certain Middle Eastern countries, the groom reacted with disgust when the bride unveiled herself and smiled for the camera. In an abrupt and hurtful manner, he stood up and declared, “You are not the girl I imagined. I’m sorry, but I divorce you.”

The bride was left devastated, collapsing in tears as concerned wedding guests tried to mediate and find a resolution. Despite their efforts, the marriage couldn’t be salvaged. The incident sparked anger on social media, with one individual expressing their dismay at the groom’s shallow and irresponsible behavior. They emphasized the importance of appreciating inner beauty and values rather than focusing solely on appearances.

The hope was expressed that the bride would find a husband who would truly value and appreciate her for who she is. This unfortunate incident highlights the complexities surrounding arranged marriages and the significance of looking beyond superficial attributes in building meaningful relationships.
