Law enforcement officials have reported that a 22-year-old granddaughter, identified as Elise, was apprehended and subsequently charged with domestic abuse battery and domestic abuse battery with a dangerous weapon following an incident in which she reportedly stabbed her grandfather in the face.
Deputies who responded to the scene discovered both Elise’s grandfather and grandmother inside the residence. The elderly couple informed investigators that a dispute had erupted with their granddaughter when they requested her to take a shower. Allegedly, Elise became increasingly agitated and began causing damage to property within the house. Subsequently, she purportedly ventured outside and disabled the power to the dwelling, according to the Sheriff’s Office’s statement.
Responding deputies indicated that the grandparents made efforts to restrain Elise, but she managed to break free. Allegedly, she proceeded to the kitchen, seized a knife, and inflicted a stab wound to her grandfather’s face. Following the alleged assault, Elise fled into the woods behind her grandparents’ residence. Deputies located her several hours later and took her into custody.
The victim was promptly transported to the hospital for medical treatment. As of now, the condition of Elise’s grandfather has not been disclosed. Currently, the 22-year-old woman is being held without bond pending further legal proceedings.
