Father stuffed a wet wipe deep down his baby daughter’s throat and killed her only to then try blaming the infant’s toddler sister, ‘police in disbelief when they heard the reason why’!

Police authorities have taken a 30-year-old father, identified as Joseph, into custody, charging him with aggravated manslaughter of his daughter, Iris, more than two years after her tragic death.

The distressing incident unfolded when the father reportedly inserted a wet wipe deep into the baby girl’s throat. Shockingly, he initially attempted to blame Iris’s toddler sister for the ordeal. However, investigators later revealed that Joseph was the sole individual present in the house capable of inserting the napkin so profoundly into the young child’s throat. This revelation came shortly after a relative heard him yelling at the baby.

Upon arrival, first responders found the father performing chest compressions and immediately took over efforts to revive the infant. Unfortunately, all attempts to remove the obstruction proved futile. Despite being rushed to the hospital, Iris tragically passed away.

During interviews with investigators, Joseph claimed that his daughter had choked, describing a small white object in the back of her mouth. He asserted that he had left Iris unattended with his 18-month-old daughter on a couch for approximately 10 minutes. However, evidence suggested otherwise.

A subsequent examination of the baby revealed a wet wipe deeply lodged within her throat. Contrary to Joseph’s assertions that his 18-month-old daughter was to blame, investigators determined that he was the only person present at the time who could have placed the wipe so profoundly into the baby’s throat. Medical professionals confirmed that neither the baby nor her infant sister could have inserted the wet wipe to such an extent.

One doctor pointed out that it was implausible for a baby to inhale an entire baby wipe. Moreover, at that developmental stage, infants typically exhibit a tongue-thrust reaction to remove objects from their mouths rather than swallowing them. Investigators theorized that Joseph may have been driven to this horrific act by his daughter’s persistent crying.

On the evening of Iris’s tragic death, the children’s mother was working at a local restaurant, leaving their father in charge of their care. The surviving daughter, now aged 4, currently resides with other family members.
