YouTube Aviation Star Jenny Blalock and Father Killed in Tragic Tennessee Plane Crash

A tragic plane crash in a remote part of Tennessee has claimed the lives of aviation YouTuber Jenny Blalock, 45, and her father, James Blalock, 78, on Thursday. The incident occurred around 11 a.m. local time near Diana Ridge Road in Pulaski, with the single-engine plane seen going down, as reported by NBC affiliates WBIR and WSMV, along with the Knoxville News Sentinel.

Bill Myers, director of the Giles County Office of Emergency Management, noted the challenging conditions for reaching the crash site in a “remote” area. Two bodies were found outside the plane, which departed from Knoxville Downtown Island Airport about an hour and 15 minutes before the crash, according to data.

A fire erupted, consuming the plane and its surroundings, but was swiftly extinguished, WKRN reported. Jenny, with over 15,000 followers on her YouTube channel, TNFlygirl, often featured her father in videos. The most recent video, titled “Finding The Right Trainer Plane… For A Friend,” was posted on Sunday and showcased both of them. Her YouTube channel documented various flight training sessions with her father in the passenger seat.

On her Instagram page, 865flygirl, Jenny shared images of her aerial journeys with her father. The circumstances leading to the plane crash remain unclear, with the Federal Aviation Administration deeming it an accident. Both the FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board are conducting investigations into the tragic incident.
