President Joe Biden is facing criticism for what he did as a national anthem played at the White House.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the White House on Thursday. A video shows the two leaders standing next to each other as their countries’ national anthems were played.
The Indian national anthem was the first one to be played.
And as it began, Biden was seen holding his hand over his heart. After several seconds, he appeared to realize it was not the U.S. national anthem that was playing.
He then slowly slid his hand from his heart down to his side.

The incident comes days after Biden raised eyebrows by ending his remarks in Connecticut with the words, “God Save the Queen, man.”
