After being told at school that she looked pregnant, an 8-year-old girl’s parents hurried to get her an ultrasound

A sudden health scare is usually a worrying experience. Things might often appear unjust and bleak when they affect the youngest family member. Sydney-based Up until they received weird reports from her school, Leah and her husband believed everything with their youngest was going according to plan.

Jada, age 8, seemed to be in good health. Her parents acknowledged that she was little and weak, but they had never seriously questioned her short size. They assumed Jada’s lack of energy was just a result of her inability to keep up with the hectic lifestyle of a busy family since she was the youngest of four children.

As Jada’s schoolmates began commenting that she seemed pregnant, things began to shift. Leah couldn’t help but brow-lift. Youngsters may be cruel, but this appeared to be a rare instance. The mother and her husband agreed to see a doctor despite the fact that neither of them had personally seen anything unusual about their daughter.

Jada arrived a few years later, much to the astonishment of Leah and Viktor, who had their three elder children in pretty close succession. Jada did not like sports or exercise as her siblings did, and when she began swimming, she would shiver and become blue after just a short time in the water.

We didn’t see it at first since we saw her every day, Leah said.

Paradoxically, Jada’s life was saved by what would have otherwise been considered playground taunting. The children’s comments caught Leah’s attention, and she decided it would be better to look into the subject more thoroughly. She and her husband decided to take their daughter, who is eight years old, to have an ultrasound.

The appointment started a chain of events that Leah and Viktor never anticipated happening. The mother of four remembered how the ultrasound technician reacted after finishing the operation and seeing Jada’s tummy for the first time. Leah thought back on the experience in shock:

Jada’s swollen stomach was the consequence of all her organs being enlarged, according to their doctor, who the sonographer had sent them back, Leah recounted. The family hurried to the hospital for immediate treatment after hearing the doctor’s grave prognosis.

Jada and her family stayed in the hospital for the whole weekend in the vain hope that something would be done to improve her health. The medical personnel gave diuretics to reduce the organ swelling, but Jada lost a lot of water as a result of the massive quantity of water that had accumulated in her organs. Leah remembered:
