6-Year-Old Boy in Critical Condition After Neighbor Strikes His Head with Baseball Bat

In Georgetown, Texas, a 6-year-old boy named Jeremy Tang Diaz is in critical condition after a neighbor attacked him with a baseball bat. Here’s what happened:

On September 11, around 5 a.m., a man named Daniel Logan, 39, broke into Jeremy’s family home on Rock Mill Loop. Logan had a baseball bat and used it to hit Jeremy in the head. He also tried to harm Jeremy’s parents, Yilin and Arturo.

As reported by statesman on Tuesday, September 19, Before entering their neighbor’s home, Logan had attacked his own mother, Cynthia, with the same baseball bat. She suffered a broken tooth, a facial injury, and swelling around her left eye.

Logan was arrested and faces serious charges: injury to a child and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon against a family member, both considered first-degree felonies.

Jeremy is currently in a coma and undergoing medical exams, including an MRI. He was attacked while sleeping, and his father recalled how excited he was about starting the week, going back to his jiu-jitsu classes, and tying his new belt. His family is devastated by this incident.

The investigation is ongoing, and the motive behind the attack remains unclear.
