In a tragic incident in Bronx, New York, a teenager, Jayden Rivera, was arrested and charged with the murder of three family members, including his 5-year-old brother. The New York City Police Department confirmed Rivera’s arrest on Wednesday, with charges including murder, manslaughter, and criminal possession of a weapon.
The horrifying discovery unfolded when responding officers found the lifeless body of Jonathan Rivera, 38, in the first-floor hallway of the apartment building at 674 E. 136th Street on November 26. Further investigation revealed the bodies of Hanoi Peralta, 38, and their shared 5-year-old son, Kayden Rivera, inside their first-floor apartment. All three victims had been fatally stabbed.
According to reports from WABC-TV and CBS News, the police believe Jayden was babysitting his brother while his father and the father’s girlfriend were out on a date. A neighbor, Fernando Cruz, reported hearing a disturbance in the hallway during the incident.
