Tampa Attorney Faces Felony Charges: Patricia Anne Bronson Accused of Child Neglect After Leaving Sisters, Ages 3 and 7, Unattended at Upham Beach Park

A Tampa attorney, Patricia Anne Bronson, 41, is now facing felony child neglect charges following a distressing incident at Upham Beach Park, according to a report by The Post on Thursday, October 12.

Bronson allegedly left two young girls, a 3-year-old and her 7-year-old sister, unattended for up to 45 minutes, resulting in the younger child wandering into the surf alone.

Bystanders at the beach were alarmed and promptly alerted the police upon noticing the unattended children.

Deputies arrived to find the 3-year-old girl waist-deep in the water.

According to reports by Tampa Bay Times, the older sister informed law enforcement that her little sibling had ventured into the water.

Bronson, who was identified as the “caregiver” for the children in police records, allegedly confessed to leaving the girls at the beach while she went to park her car.

The incident has raised questions about her relationship with the children and the circumstances under which she was responsible for them.

As a result of her actions, Bronson was charged with two counts of neglect of a child without great bodily harm.

Additionally, she faced an extra charge after jail guards discovered a small vape pen in her possession during her time at the Pinellas County Jail, as reported by the Times.

Bronson was subsequently released on $15,000 bail pending a future court appearance.

Despite the severity of the charges, she declined to comment when reached by the Tampa Bay Times, leaving the community in shock and demanding answers about the safety and well-being of the young girls under her care.
