Mum cops backlash for giving her 11-year-old daughter an eyelash lift

Roxy Jacenko, a millionaire PR maven, faced backlash from her social media followers after indulging her 11-year-old daughter, Pixie, with a trip to a luxurious salon for a beauty treatment.

Jacenko shared a photo on her Instagram stories showing Pixie undergoing an eyelash treatment and lift at the FancyLash salon in Sydney. She captioned the image with: “How the tables have turned. Now I am Pixie Curtis’ content creator too, [we’re] at FancyLash today.”

However, her social media fans were quick to criticize the millionaire mom and head of Sweaty Betty PR in the comments section. Some felt that Pixie was too young for such treatments and expressed concerns about the message it sends to young girls regarding beauty standards.

The backlash also extended to Jacenko’s business, as some users vowed not to purchase her products anymore. Notably, Jacenko had previously revealed that Pixie, at just 10 years old, could potentially retire at 15 due to her business success with Pixie’s Bows, a venture started by Jacenko for her daughter when she was a baby.

Jacenko further raised eyebrows when she shared Pixie’s Christmas list for 2022, which included luxury items like a “Goyard” bag. The exclusive Goyard bags are custom-made in Paris, with prices reaching astronomical figures. The mention of such expensive items only amplified the perception of a lavish lifestyle enjoyed by young Pixie.

While the controversy raged on, it seems Pixie Curtis continues to embrace the finer things in life, unfazed by the criticism directed at her mother.
