Nearly 1 year after the little boy was kidnapped, ‘his dad saw him in a shopping mall and did this’!

The rate of child abductions is increasing at an alarming pace, and tragically, many victims never return home. Children who are kidnapped are often used by criminals and human traffickers for their own gain.

It’s generally not a good idea to leave children under the age of 10 home alone since most kids lack the maturity and skills to respond to an emergency if they’re alone.

Sadly, in cases where victims are found, they are rare. That’s why when Chen saw his son in a shopping center months after being kidnapped, he acted quickly and alerted the proper authorities.

According to Chen, his six-year-old son, Cheng, was taken from their home when he had to leave for work one day. He left Cheng with his older sister to watch TV.

Two hours after Chen left, a neighbor discovered the abduction when they went to check on the children. Cheng’s older sister reported seeing a stranger come in and take him.

Nine months after the kidnapping, Chen spotted his son at a shopping mall called Qingxin Town Plaza. He was with three men who Chen suspected were human traffickers. Without hesitation, Chen grabbed his son and called the authorities, who arrested the kidnappers.

After identifying the child, Chen quickly called the police from the scene, and officers arrived to arrest the three kidnappers – Chen, Li, and Ou – who were known by their last names.

The Qingxin People’s Court held a trial, and Judge Zhaoxing determined that Mr. Ou had intended to sell the children, including Jiafu, to other families.

Mr. Ou received a six-year prison sentence, while Ms. Li and Mr. Chen received three-year and two-year prison sentences, respectively, for child abduction.
